School Of Racing – FAQs
——-
My child is new to the sport, is this for them? No, you should look to local clubs or race series to help with their initial development such as Junior Island MTB or Pedal To Progression MTB Academy.

My son/ daughter is keen to join and is a good U11 or younger rider, can you make exception?
No, these sessions are strictly for 12-16 year old children who have a keen interest in racing and have ambition to race for the Isle of Man at major competions or at a Uk National level in the near future.

Why do we have to pay for these sessions?
The session charge is the same across all the Talent Development Centres across the UK. It’s to cover the minimum fees to hire of the forest for the session. We think you’ll agree that this is heavily discounted compared to other group coaching options (or bike parts!) that are available.

What do I need to wear for this session?
Please ensure your child’s bike is in full working order (two working brakes essential) and they dress appropriately for the weather and riding conditions. A Wearing a helmet is compulsory during the session.

What do I need to bring to the session? You’ll need to bring flat pedals and suitable footwear. Also anything you usually take with you on an MTB ride (multi-tool, inner tube, pump, food, water etc.) ensure your bike is in full working order. Failure to do so may mean you can’t take part in the session.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions? Send us an email at pedaltoprogression@hotmail.com
