Suspension Setup Course with Tyred and Cranky
Perfect for anyone who wants to unlock their potential and get the optimum setup for their bike.
Whether you want to learn about all the adjustments on your new bike? Or perhaps you need a ‘set and forget’ setup? This is the course for you!
What you can expect:
- Pre-flight checks: Cockpit setup, sag, tyre pressure
- Fundamental skills coaching on the trail
- Adjusting Suspension settings
- *Suspension monitoring systems such as ShockWiz and Sussmybike may be used during your booking.
- Goodie bag from both Tyred and Cranky and Pedal To Progression.
The setup days begin at 9:00am Saturday, 10:00am Sunday meeting at the Coffee Cottage at South Barrule. We aim to be finished within 3 hours of the start time.
Troy is a perfectionist when it comes to bike preparation and loves a smooth running bike. His excellent reputation allows him to work freelance, servicing bikes and suspension for many of the islands Bike Shops. With his expertise on suspension setup he’ll get your bike dialled in no time!
Adam is a professional mountain bike coach and guide with over 10 years experience. He’s fortunate enough to have coached beginners at grassroots, weekend warriors, through to British National champions. His expertise on technical skills will ensure your body is able to get the most from your bike. He’ll provide valuable feedback on your riding and setup so you can flow down your favourite trails!
The format for the course is (Saturday used as example):
8:45am: Arrival for prompt 9:00am start at Coffee Cottage.
09:00am: Rider briefing with initial setup
9:30am: Ride out to first trail.
09:45 am: Core technique coaching and learning the trail.
11:00am – Fine tuning your suspension on
11:45am – We will review and record your settings
12:00pm – Approximate finish time.
What do I need to wear for this session?
Wearing a helmet during the session is compulsory. Full finger gloves are advised for off-road cycling. Please dress appropriately for the weather and riding conditions. Prepare for changable conditions!
What do I need to bring to the session?
Please bring anything you usually take with you on an MTB ride (inner tube, pump, food, water etc.) ensure your bike is in full working order.
Where will we meet?
We will meet at the Coffee Cottage at South Barrule Plantation. Parking is located at the main car park opposite. Take care crossing the road to reach the Coffee Cottage.
